Outreach Snapshot

The United for Life Foundation has various ongoing outreach projects. Below are some snapshots of previous years.

vivace with Mike Huckabee

In 2010 the United for Life Foundation sponsored and hosted the outreach event vivace, a live outreach event featuring over 100 talents, over 100 volunteers, and over 20 organizations. vivace drew a crowd of approximately 2,000, a big success for a first-time, ticketed event. vivace brought the United for Life Foundation into Mobile, providing a tremendous amount of awareness for the artists and charities participating.

Focus on Life Radio

In 2009 the United for Life Foundation began sponsoring Focus on Life, a radio show featuring Culture of Life expert Cheryl Ciamerra. Cheryl's program featured both national and local figures in the Culture of Life arena. These experts in the field discuss topics like legislation, nationalized healthcare, the abortion-breast cancer link, stem cell research, end of life issues, medical right of conscience, and others.

A Dream Worth Living

In 2008, the United for Life Foundation sponsored G.P. Galle Jr.'s first large scale production, A Dream Worth Living. The production, a blend of film, live performance, and music, could safely be called the first Culture of Life musical. The event was performed as a dinner theater for some of the Foundation's premiere patrons, raising funds for further projects produced throughout the year of 2008.

Bella Premiere

In 2007 the United for Life Foundation brought the feature film Bella (winner of the Toronto Film Festival 2007 People's Choice Award) to Birmingham. The event was a smashing success, drawing nearly 2,000 people. Sponsorships raised allowed the Foundation to buy out all the theaters in Birmingham and provide tickets to the underprivileged, resulting in several thousand more participating.

Young Professional Outreach

The United for Life Foundation has hosted outreach events for young professionals, and involved young professionals in its outreach. Some outreach events include the Ladies and Gentlemen's Ball, a big band event with an exhibit of famous prominent figures in history, and A Summer Bash, a fun and informative event with live music that also instructed on the principles of being ladies and gentlemen. Special reserve volunteer opportunities were provided for the young professionals at each outreach event or project.

Student Outreach

Through internships, volunteer opportunities, and outreach events, the United for Life Foundation has worked with and aided hundreds of students over the years. Student internships are one of the most important parts of United for Life Foundation's resources, and make much of the Foundation's work possible with little financial investment. The students gain valuable experience in event planning, production, networking, and media outreach.

Crisis Pregnancy Commercials

Although this was the Foundation's first campaign and outreach project, it continues to be one of the most effective and efficient. From the beginning, the United for Life Foundation showed that every $12 spent on pregnancy care commercials, a woman contacted the 24 hour Option Line. This option line directs women to local pregnancy care facilities. These facilities provide real care and free on-going help, thus literally saving mothers' and childrens' lives.
